New website logo for 2016

Happy New Year!  Yes we know, it is already a few days into the new year, but just the same.

With the new year comes a lot of exciting stuff going on behind the scenes as well as for our friends and clients, not the least of which is the fresh new logo and layout for the RVHWD website!

December/January is always a busy time of year, and this year has been no exception.  As we rolled out the new look in the wee morning hours of 4 January 2016, there was a formatting hiccup when the layout went live.  And we have been chasing down the gremlins ever since – but the new layout looks freakin’ awesome!

As such is the case, we are delaying the publishing of our regular series of articles until we get at least the majority of the formatting issues under control.  It is estimated that this will be accomplished by Sunday, 10 January 2016 at the latest – so look for more of your favorite articles starting again next week.

But as luck would have it, several of our customers in the some of the southern tier states (mainly Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina) experienced a sudden issue with being able to send email out, but were receiving them just fine.  Our customers come first, so we spent several hours researching and troubleshooting the problem – the results were covered in the recent article Comcast Email Issues.

With the publishing of that article was when we were reminded of another fairly major gremlin with the new website look roll-out – text links don’t look like text links!  Just as an example, until we get that simple CSS gremlin fixed, ‘Comcast Email Issues‘ above is actually a link.  Go ahead, mouse over it and see.

In any case, we are keeping a list of the little annoying bugs and squashing them in between everything else going on.  We are also about to push the grand re-opening of the new client area, but that will be delayed at least another week or so as we iron out the kinks and work on getting everything on the main website dialed back in to where it should be.

Hang in there, we will be back on with the regularly scheduled series articles come Monday, 11 January 2016!
